After the sweet and heavy wine
We melted into drowsy light
Breaths fluttering
Limbs warm with murmurs
We drifted and glowed
When the air grew dense with your touch
The tale half-forgotten or half-told
I gave and I took hold
You searched and then you flowed
And for the hundredth and only time
We sank flying
For the night was half-remembered and half-young
How you tasted like earth and fire
How we glided on a stolen wind
Through still and changing waters
To the vineyard of a thousand never's
A thousand flowers blooming and withering
That very same instant
We were here
We were gone.
